You can lose weight by cutting down carbohydrates like rice bread and avoid drinking soda.
Eating proteins like eggs/read meat/ chicken without much oil is good as it will keep you full and less hungry.
Same with milk, drink full milk instead of fat free which will make you hungry.

The concept is you are eating more than your body requires. Even eating 20% less volume/calories will make you lose weight.
