wow, look where this thread started and what is being discussed now.
Back to the topic, its not that only Indians are rude. There are many others that are rude even in USA. Parts like NE, Cali, etc are friendlier but there are parts that are not. A few years ago I thought the same that Indians are rude but now I smile and say how are you to all Indians just the way we say to non Indians and almost all reply warmly.
Also, if someone smiles and ask you how are you, doesn't mean they are not rude. They just have friendly outlook but behind our back, they have their not so 'friendly' opinions and chatter about Indians.
Basically, people all over the world are the same when you go beyond those 'How are you' greetings. Just try asking a bit more like did you had your breakfast, how is your family, etc, most of them will avoid you. |
