Money transfer query   query   05/08/2017 07:13 PM

Hi,

i generally transfer money to India, via Xoom.

Do we need to fill any declaration form, or any Tax related form, or do we need to inform to Government about International transaction?

You no need its your wish as long as below 10000 in one transaction,

but while submitting taxes in a year if you send more than 10k then you need to submit.

" while submitting taxes in a year if you send more than 10k then you need to submit."

Do you mean 10K in one shot or total of 10K through out a financial year ?

Hi Priya..Just log into Xoom and create a profile..You will be prompted for few details..get that from the recipient..
Xoom is a good service..for first transaction it may take a couple of days to get credited..From next transaction it will be just few seconds. Hope it helps.

To the above post,

It doesnt matter its in one shot or multiple shot, if you move your total 10k in a ayear to India you need to declare that you dont have any income in India
