dont use any drowsy drugs... just take baby in hand and start walking through isles.. there will be other infants too to give him company for crying so don't worry..

If its air india, you can be assured that your baby will be the quietest and least rude , best passenger in that flight.

Lots of moms travel with babies and the stewards are usually friendly and help the babies.

you don't need to declare anything.. just keep a separate plastic pouch for all baby food and other liquids.. when you go through TSA, keep them out yourself in tray, they will not ask anything when you have baby with you. I never carried ice packs but you can always ask for ice from Air Hostess.. Best thing is once flight is in air, you can walk to pantry area and air hostess are kind enough to help you with anything you need for baby..

When flight takes off and while landing, please use pacifier, baby will start crying due to ear popping at a high altitude.

Remember to request a Basssinet. there is no extra charge and are availabe in the first row of each seating class i believe. Besides there is more legroom as well. This request has to be made in advance and its based on availability, before the seatings get booked. Happy Journey!

One more imp thing to remember is to change the baby's diaper after an interval of every 3-4 hrs because as continuous use of diaper for longer period and the weather change from USA to India and less water intake may lead to Diaper infection.
