Hi ,
Last year I traveled with 6 months old baby. Baby didn't feel comfortable in bassinets , when baby rolls the bassinets edges / sides will touch and it's hard also.
so, My baby didn't feel comfortable. It's depend upon babies also. Actually , that is the first time she slept in bassinet , may be that also one of the reason. I can say hardly my baby spent only 3 to 4 hours in bassinet. remaining time baby was our lap only.
But, Air hosts are very friendly, they helped lot for us. Thank you Air India air lens.

well I recently had 4 international trips with one year daughter.. First of all if you book your kid as infant, you save on seat price and they allocate you bassinet seat which is additional $50 with Air India.. Bassinets are comfortable but check height of your child, if kid is too tall, they may not fit but otherwise its comfortable.. In one of the trip, I booked full seat for my infant and carried car seat, kid slept the way they sleep in car seat.. I never took A -C seats for bassinets, I always took center row.. and they have been comfortable seats.. It completely depends on your kid whether they will sleep in bassinet or not.. My kid slept half of journey in bassinet and half of journey in my lap.. every kid is different.
