I have Indian currency of 500 notes where I can exchange in USA

No where in US. Only option is to send it to India with some reliable person and they can exchange, or if you plan on Visiting India before March 2017, then take it with you.

I think if you can go to the nearest airport they may exchange it .Check it out

Contact State bank of India in New york to exchange or any Indian banks in the US. Google the number.

SBI and IB in US not exchanging.. there Is a big notice kept in SBI NY
