Visa interview for parents   US Visa interview   01/25/2015 11:32 AM

Hi

My parents are attending visa interview this week. They are attending the interview together. I would like to know how the interview generally goes. My father is bit aged and talks slowly. Can my mom lead the show during the interview? I know both would be inevitably questioned, but just curious to know if my mom can take up the general questions (questions on me etc) and drive the show.

Also I have explained them on the following things - Purpose of visit (tourism and visiting me), period of stay, my employment, my state of residence and about the economic ties with home country. Do I need to cover anything else?

Thanks

You are all covered, let them be natural, whoever takes the lead among the couple does not matter. best of luck

They do not ask questions to specific people. Any one of them can answer those questions. Let them just plan and your mother can definitely lead the show!

Best of luch

They may have to remember your birth date, about your siblings and what they do, answer as to how long they would like to stay.

Their visas got approved today. Consular asked the following questions:

1) Who is staying in US?
2) Where do I work?
3) Do you have any property in India?
4) Do you have any other kids in India?

He didn't look at any document and informed that the visa has been approved.

Thanks everyone for the inputs.
