Leasing a car   Lease   05/23/2014 03:26 PM

Hi,

I want to know what are all the main things we need to check while leasing a car from the dealer. There is an offer from a dealer for $275 per month for a new leased CRV-EXL. This is a 3 yrs lease and is a down payment of 1000$ for it. How is this option?

Leasing is only preferable for a call which does not have good resale value.. usually , no good leases on toyota or Honda.. Lease is good only for high end cars not for low maintenance cars.

Yes guys. I have a good credit history (~775)but I have couple of questions in leasing a car.

1) If I change the state during the least time
2) What if I cancel the lease in a year

In fact another question is like, if the dealer wants to cheat at the end of the lease by showing many penalty charges and all.

Thanks

Yes, that is also one of the threads going in my mind in parallel. The problem is like I don't know how long I will stay here and also I am passionate to drive all different varieties of car before go to India.

Donot cancel lease.. you will be done,
Or try to take lease for short term..

In the worst case scenario, try swap leasing websites.

you can change state.. woud not be a problemm

I got CRV 2014 for 255$ a month with 3 yrs lease and zero down. Well, you have to pay a lump-sum for lease breakage which is a head ache and I will never think about it . You have all terms and conditions on the agreement and it is obvious that you have to pay if you are responsible for any damage. I have made sure that right from the car seat to mat , everything is covered with temp seat covers that come from Honda itself(expensive but worth it). At the end, if you want to buy the car ,you can go for it at the end of lease with the remaining amount.

PS: You are not supposed to share your Credit score,SSN and Income. I am pretty sure it might not be ur true score(may be close ,high) but still you could have replied just yes..Just a friendly say.

All the Best!

Thanks Wellwisher for the detailed reply. The score is not mine but I understood on what you are telling about the SSN/credit score stand point. By the way, may I know where did you take the lease and how long you are into the lease? Please let me know those details so that I can check with the dealer in 1-2 days.
