I want renew my indian passport. Can some one please tell me the process and how much time it takes

Follow the instructions on http://passport.blsindia-usa.com/
have all ur required documents as mentioned in the website notarized from a bank (bank where u hold an a/c usually notarize free of cost)
It is advisable to visit the Bls office in New York to submit ur documents ( u r assured ur documents r in safe hands as ur original passport needs to be submitted) ,else u cud mail it to them.
If all things mentioned in website r followed correctly, u shud have ur passport delivered to u within 4-6 weeks (working days only counted).
I got my passport renewed here 2 mnths bk & faced no issues at all

Even overnight fedex works
I got mine in 10 days provided u send all correct docunents
