Hi, the company I work for is from NJ to Norwalk, CT. So, we need to relocate as well. We would like to rent a townhouse/condo in nearby places like Wilton, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Fairfield, Weston etc. Could you suggest any places to rent with some desi presence as well as a good school district? Hello, I live in DERBY, CT. For my job I will have to go to Holmes NY daily. It is 37 miles from my place.I do not have driving licence.I will need somebody who can drive me to job place and bring me back in evening.I will pay for fuel and time.

Guys,
I'm moving out of Stamford, so I'm selling out lots of stuff. Every furniture can be disassembled easily and can be fit in a sedan.
Everything has to go quickly so prices are negotiable.
I have the following to sell.
1. Ikea bed(BRIMNES)+slatted bed base(3months old)-> $150
2. Sealy mattress Queen -> $125
3. Ikea dinning table (JOKKMOKK) + 4 chairs -> $110
4. Frigidaire AC (for really hot CT summers) -> $75
5. Ikea futon -> $120
I have a few lamps and chairs, I'll give them for free for first comers.
Also have some of these miscellaneous stuffs
6. Office table + chair -> $35 + $45
7. GE microwave -> $20
8. A 6 feet book shelf -> $20
9. fan -> $20
Cricket enthusiasts I have a complete cricket kit (without bat). Southern Connecticut league has lots of good teams if you are interested. Whole kit for $150

No one will allow you to work from home in a regular job because its difficult to monitor/trust the employee.
Its better you take up a regular job and ask them if they could allow few days a week to work from home

I am not sure if Venky is right.I know a friend of mine who works full time from home for a very reputed company.She has never been to an office even once.I am sure you will find something.I am on a lookout for a job too.Have 4 years exp and would like to work from home in Manchester.

I also do part time web development from home. I have made some websites for my desi friends/contacts who run small scale businesses. Its a good way to start out.

Getting jobs to work from home is not easy. IT happens if you have some friends at hiring level or who can help through network of theirs. If we go out plainly as strangers it might not be easy...
To get a regular job in a particular city in a particular technology itself can be challenging at times.

Broadmoor - Old apartments, utilities included and few desis live there.
Sera monte - little expensive but good
There are other few apartment complexes and condos on mix avenue.
All are safe and cheap, walkable to shopping malss and bus stops.
