First of all, let me wish you all the best for your job search. My sincere suggestion is upload your resume in www.dice.com & relax, you will receive a lot of calls every day..I am sure you can be placed in a month or two, considering the peak hiring time of Jan to Mar every year..

Thanks a lot for your wishes. I have already created my profile in Dice, CareerBuilder, monster etc.. But not receiving many calls. It's been more than a month since i got EAD. It's more of frustration than relaxation now.

The days after Thanksgiving ,i mean starting last week of Nov till Jan first week are the dull periods for hiring in US. Also, I would suggest you refresh your resume in Dice evry morning.such that you will comeup first in the list when the recruiters search for the skills. Be patient. There will be a lot of hiring from mid Jan till Mar end.

Don't know. I just hope every day to get some calls or mails. I guess its hard to get a database role. Have seen more of openings on .Net and Java. Is there any other role than a developer i can apply for? Sometimes i see Business technical analyst or systems analyst job same as a developer, difference being BTA/SA do the same on Maintenance/support projects. That's what i noticed after going through some job requirements.

Well, I am preferring for CT only. Boston/NYC will work if there is less travel, as in if it is tele-commutable.
