I am alone working in my family, if I send back my wife and kids I can save some basic money right now savings only 500$ per month. Kids are of 3 years 1 year age..whats your suggestion Friends? I know kids age cant be buy back at the same time we dont know how long we are going to stay. Wife crying daily like to stay with me not sure what to do. Reply

I would say time is precious so try to spend together as much as you can. Kids will grow fast and then you will miss this time. I would say if you can afford to stay together better try to. Again this is coming from a mom who would like everyone to live together. Kids need both the parents. Reply

You can always make money. You won't get the precious time with your family. Don't postpone the living with hopes to live better when you have more money, instead live now with what you have as nobody knows whats gonna happen tomorrow. Reply

I am able to save 20k per annum with family i.e. 15 lakhs. IN India my salary is 15 lakhs hardly saves 5 lakhs. so withotu family I can save another 30k, house will go undersharing big headache 1000$ save Groceries: This is bad but money is money so 300$ Insurance another 750$ => total 2000$. 25000 per annum easily = 20 lakhs. so instead of 15 lakhs I can save 35 lakhs Reply

You said you are saving 500 per month and your annual total makes it to 20K, thats a good math. also Account for taxes that go up with you filing taxes as Single, account for money you would need to send to India to raise family there (this includes kids education too), and most of all account for the time you see your kids growing without you. I sent my kids to India for couple months vacation, honestly I couldn't live emotionally without them. Reply

The more you have, the more you want... even Ambanis are not satisfied with whatever little they have. See what matters more to you money or seeing your kids and wife growing with you. Because even 500 a month is not bad if you are eventually going back. Let your kids and wife enjoy this life in America. Reply
