Has anyone tried multiple airlines option while traveling to India? If so, how was the experience?

I tried taking Quatar one way and Air India the other. This was fine.

I also want to explore using multiple airlines within one leg of journey ( in the same itinerary so you dont have to take your lugage out !) and most of the websites dont offer such options. Sometimes it is much cheaper if you look at these options. Has anyone tried this ?

yes, i am trying to book ticket from Kayak, and they are offering multiple airlines option, as in multiple airlines in one leg. There is a considerable difference in prices, so i wanted to see if anyone tried and can share their experience?
