Hey, many of us have jobs in the IT sector but then, how many of you have been wanting to do something on your own? For me, it's about ensuring there is a parallel backup plan, being your own boss, growing your business and generating additional revenue. So easily said than done, I know! Most of us have thought about this several times, but we hardly take the plunge. I'm actually looking out for a very genuine trust-worthy "Ideation Partner"
My thoughts are - the investment should be negligible, I'm not game for playing the big game for now. Setting up anything here can cost a lot of money, so that's parked out of the window for now. I've been in the technology game for over a decade, but I'm clear I don't want to do software business. Want to do something traditional, though leveraging technology for the same is fine.
But then, trading! Why not trading, especially with strong roots in India? Maybe think of some items we could bring in from India and establish distribution channels locally. We can start really small and slowly scale up. Distribution channels could be the traditional buyer/ distributor route combined with online avenues.
I'm very confident about the sourcing bit and have a potential product line in mind, but I'm not an expert on the distribution channels though. Well, this is just me thinking aloud. If anyone wants to hit me up, drop an email to ravimenon.mail (at) gmail.com.
