How long it takes to deliver a letter to India if we do standard shipping from here?

about two weeks to most major cities which are close to international airports..

Though USPS doesn't guarantee, I used their service twice and on 6th working day, it reached(destination was a major town in Karnataka), costed me about 25 bucks. UPS says it guarantees 5 business days but the fine print means otherwise. I used them first time, costed 100 bucks, they delivered on 6th business day.
