Hi All, I recently received the learners license. I am planning to buy a used car. I have a few queries: 1. Can i register the car at DMV with my learners license? (I also have a valid Indian license) 2. My road test has been scheduled for Feb 2017 (no earlier slots were available . I would need a driver to accompany me (as per the rules). Do the driving schools provide one? 3. There is a requirement for a Driver Education Certificate (form CS-1). The following are the requirements for it: 30 hours of classroom and 8 hours behind-the-wheel driving or 8 hours only of Safe Driving Practices course. Is the 8 hour course enough if I previously had a US licence from another US state (now expired) and I also have a valid Indian license? Are there any other tests required (alcohol etc.)? Would appreciate any info on the above.
