Hope you do understand why they need GC person. This person stands witness to your application (your name, address, status, criminal records in usa and india(hence GC person and not citizen) required etc) and your passport. The passport you will use to travel in and out of USA and what you use for future visa applications. Are you telling me you personally do not know even one single person with GC (friend's friend, co worker, boss,relative)? If you are really genuine goto local desi association and they wil help you. in this day and age why do you want to verify personal details of complete stranger??
