I got my passport renewed from NY office. You can take your original documents along with copies to your Bank Of America office and they will get that notarized. Even in some apartments the leasing office also do notary. I got my documents notarized from my apartments leasing office and sent all documents to NY Consulate and got renewed passport in a month.
