You probably had the best intentions, but your post is still jarring. Why is it ok to say he is looking for Indian friends but not ok to say he wants friends from Telangana? How quick we are to get offended if an American says they prefer to be with other American people... but we Indians do it all the time. Once we are all ready to accept all kinds of people as friends, we can chastise others for their choice.... or maybe not even then. Be friends with like-minded people, region should not matter. I think this is a great discussion btw.
