Please follow instructions as mentioned in http://www.passport.blsindia-usa.com/ carefully. My husband got his passport renewed about 1.5 mnths back. We had also read bad reviews about BLS India, but they aren't like that. Infact, we did not face any issues at all and got his passport within 15 days. Please do not opt for tatkal service unless there is an emergency, as the process is a bit complicated and rejection rate is higher. U can have your documents notarized from ur bank where u hold an a/c, ,most of them do it for free (thought of letting u know this, as most of us(Indians) raise a query regarding this).
