http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Individual-Taxpayer-Identification-Number-(ITIN) get infor from above site.. u can apply on ur own..or hrblock can do fill the paperwork for you.. still u have to submit the paperwork.. I belive yu haave to send the original passport or you can get a attested copy from indian embassy.. its a cumbersome process. just apply for the taxes with pending ITIN status.. you can apply for state after u get the ITIN.. you have to do paper.. any questions ar welcome
