Friend, you can send chocolates or whatever you want to India, but just want to mention my personal experience. I have seen stuff gets lost/stolen/missing when you send via ordinary mail (USPS -> Indian post office). Therefore, my advice is either use a Courriel like UPS/FEDEX/DHL which can be expensive, but have a better chance of delivering the things. If you want to use USPS, don't send anything that is too expensive, keeping in mind it may never reach the destination / or use insurance.
