Its going to be pretty tough for h1bs until job market grows. Green card STEM bills were defeated by Democrats and hence no hopes for any legal immigrants. However illegal immigrants like mexicans will be favored as they are around 20 million people in US. My suggestion is to buy real estate in India as a backup instead of waiting for GC.
