Glad that you feel for India. India has lot of issues since its very diverse by culture and from every aspect. But that is the strength as well. The issues you mentioned with people is true but mind it India got independence 72 years back where as most of the developed nation 200+ years back. The other countries had more issues at that stage. It takes time. Any developing country will go with all these problems but does not make a bad nation.

India too has very great places/ states vs still poor and under developed states. Luckily I belong to the very safe and developed state. Gujarat.. Others are growing too..

People do come here not just from India but from all over the world and stay here its their choice which does not make their country bad.. I know personally many families who are financially strong back in India came here to try either on student or based on Family sponsored Immi gone back. People who come here to make money and get costumed with life style inc their children make it tough to go back. Everyone has diff reasons. Why am I still here, why is it that Important for you.

Most People I know on H1B came here due to currency diff or high salary. If they were financially strong, wont choose like many don't want to come.

Same There are poor people here too, lazy, dependent on social services, crime prevails here too..I have had business in that sort of neighborhood. i have seen them very closely. No country is perfect.

Again I am not comparing US with India. US has more opportunities, better work and law environment but India is also not the same place that used to be.
