If you have 3 cars in India, it means you are rich LOL!!!. What your husband is saying is 100% true. If you have 3 years VISA it doesn't mean he will have work for 3 years, His client/company can send him back to India anytime. I am in USA for more than 3 years, when I first came my company said your Job here is only for 6 months, they didn't even booked tickets for my family for which I fought hard. I survived every six months and still surviving for the past 3 years and I am sure everyone in H1b is are in the same situation. Accept the fact, new furniture/car won't give you happiness, living happily with your spouse will give.
