Not eligible to work on a job which pays. Can certainly do voluntary work, but with proper approvals. Be very cautious in this, many housewives have been caught, charged and de-ported by IRS (which is USCIS now)in the past. NY and NJ has witnessed this mass extradition few years ago. Do not take the risk to work on H4, even if a desi company agrees to hire you. Good Luck.
