It depends if you guys r close i mean even though far away if u stay connected then u can take few gifts every now n then. I stay close to 3 of my friends. We stay connected so i kind of take gifts not lavish ones but something to say we care..But trust me eventhough they may not talk high about what u got infront of u, but behind they always admire and try to show off its funny though.
