Your criteria seems to be requiring something cheap, yet reliable. As mentioned in previous post, Toyota and Honda are very reliable. With a budget of 7K, best bang for the buck would be either Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. Honda Fit would be even cheaper on pocket, but cannot comment on it's reliability. With that budget range, you can expect models upto 2012 and something that has at least 60k to 80k miles on it. I would recommend going to a private party and inspecting the vehicle thoroughly (get an inspection done from a mechanic/auto service and check the service reports without fail) if cost is your priority.
