I know exactly what you are going through and trust me we all struggle with the same. No matter what others day, I believe that we are not programmed to eat salads and bland diet crap as we grew up eating homemade flavorful and comforting stuff.

Forget about diet plans. Anytime you tell yourself that you are on a diet you are setting yourself up for a failure as your brain will make you feel deprived and crave for more.

The only thing that has worked me after struggling for years is the portion control. Eat whatever you want to eat but limit your portion size. You will struggle initially but if you keep patience and control yourself, you will see that you can get by easily with little amount of food. Keep yourself at a comfortable satiety level and never overeat. Stop eating before you start feeling full..your stomach acts slowly when it comes to sending a signal to your brain about being full. Drink water and you will realize that you are satiated much before and with much less food.
Try starting this slowly, if you are eating 3-4 rotis for a meal..start with cutting down 1 roti from every meal. Eat more daal and sabzi then rice/roti.
This will cause your overall calorie count to go down and you will start losing weight.
Also, get plenty of sleep and eat your dinner as early as you can. Snack on nuts..it will keep you full for longer and will keep your skin, hairs and blood numbers in awesome sahpe. especially pistachios, pecans and almonds. If you are a non vegetarian, boiled eggs are your friend..they keep you full for a long time and are very low calorie.
Hope this helps
