You don't have to live in Stamford if you find it expensive and are ready to commute for say 30-45 mins. There are cheaper areas than Stamford. Do research of surrounding cities. But, even if you decide to live in Stamford, 140 K with benefits is pretty decent. You should have no problem maintaining a decent lifestyle and saving. Congrats!
