Very simple thing i want to explain - yes h1b extension and h1b amendment denials are absolutely true - happened to my friends, family memebers. Now why it is happening ? Answer is - few Desi consultancies ( not all ) are NOT following rules. when an employee changes job location, they have to file amendment petition but some ignore and some don't know. secondly, h1b extension denials are the cause of above amendment process not filing and other issues like low wages in LCA ( level 1 salary ) which h1b should NOT get paid.
