Yup, what is on the written contract ? Whatever they said verbally you can toss that out. Whatever you signed on is what matters. If you have it in writing then you don't have to go to lawyer, just sending a threatening email and pointing out to the clause should be enough. If nothing in written then you are out of luck my friend.
