It is not that complicated decision 1. Your budget : Condo tend to cost less compared to a good home ! 2. Your preference : It is important what you like ! 3. Maintenance cost : kind of same for both. Though condo look cheaper in the beginning, it may end up same ! 4. Value : This is not cost of property! Home may have better value than condo at any point For me, when I brought, 4th point was the most important factor ! Last but least: For home, you may need to be around especially for some of the maintenance else it may cost more! If you are travelling most of the time, it may not work well at least in the beginning. Condo have people to do maintenance to most part !
