Sometimes people lose interest. It takes a lot of effort from both sides to maintain a long distance relationship. You need to man up and move forward in life. Agreed that you will feel low and depressed for a while, a few weeks, may be months, but eventually you will and will regret all the time you lost self pitying. I was in a relationship for over 5 years, of which 2 years were long distance and it wasn't easy. In fact towards the end, it was as though we were just holding on to nothing, in spite of knowing that it is not working out. The frustration levels are immense and the time zone makes it worse. You are not there for each other physically and emotionally and it becomes pointless to hold on. Just accept it and move forward in life.
