Buy from dealer as certified pre-owned. As an Indian, safest bet is to go for a Honda or Toyota. In your budget you may want to look at 2012-2014 year cars. Look for 40k-70K miles. Make it easy for yourself and narrow down between a compact (Corolla/Civic) or mid-size (Accord/Camry). Once you have that figured out compare the two - Accord with Camry and Civic with Corolla. Then look for deals over the internet. Before you buy always check a cars history (Car fax), to make sure no prior negatives like accident or possessions.
