Sorry to say but if 90K salary limit for H1B is passed it will be eventually mean end of these 'body shop' kind of H1 companies who bring people here in hope of finding projects for them. The industry will move to permanent H1B's who will work for US companies directly. For example say Google, or IBM or Microsoft or Merck - any company, will employ H1B as direct employees rather than consultants. You may be lucky, since you are already here. Try to gain experience and skill and look for a direct employer who can sponsor H1b rather than working as a 'slave' for these so called Indian 'IT' companies. This is the land of opportunities and if you believe in yourself and are ready to tough it out and work hard you will make it. No good feeling sorry for yourself.
