Yup. I faced the same situation couple of months back. I got a message saying that he was interested. I asked him to pay me when he comes here. He said he will pay by check. A day later he said he will mail me the check of $3000 instead of $1200 and I can cash it and give him rest of the money back. He said his employer was going to issue the check. I got the check in mail couple of days later and I deposited it through ATM. It took 2 days and the check wasn't cleared. I called Bank of America and they said something was wrong with the check. I messaged him and he said he talked to his bank and it is Bank of Americans fault. I said okay, I will wait. Next day I got a message saying that he needs money to cancel his lease and his employer is not ready to give him anymore money. He asked me to send rest of the money back. I clearly refused since the check wasn't cleared. It's a scam! The guy never talked to me on phone. Only texted. Be careful
