Dr.Chadwick Samuel Mohan is the pastor of the english service of the New Life Assemblies of God (NLAG) Church in Chennai, India, where he resides with his wife Sumi and son Naethan. Apart from a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a masters in Human Resource Management, he also holds a Master of Divinity from SABC, Bangalore and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Boston where his research was on Church Leadership Formation in Urban South Asia.

The St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Mission of Hartford, CT was established in 1999 with the approval & support of Bishop Gregory Karottemprel who appointed Rev. Fr. Thomas Puthiyadom as the Director of this mission. In 2001, the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago was officially established with Mar Jacob Angadiath as the very first Bishop. Since 2001, various missions across North America were established under the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago. As a part of the Syro Malabar Diocese of Chicago, a mission was established in Hartford by Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath and appointed Rev. Thomas Puthiyadom as the director of the Mission which is intended for the spiritual welfare of all the Syro-Malabar Catholics in Connecticut.
The dedication and the strong desire of so many fervent catholics of Hartford area helped the growth and strengthening of this Mission in Hartford. Active participation in the liturgy, gifted group of the choir and the earnest efforts of so many faithful participants made our Mission a model and vibrant center of our diocese in Chicago. Though limited in number of families, the mission has been able to have all the regular activities of a Mission unit.
Our special celebrations of Christmas, Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter are well attended by a large number of families in our community . Our annual Christmas carol also has been a great attraction for children as well as adults. Monthly prayer meetings have helped to enhance the unity and fellowship among our families. Children enjoy the English Rosary and the reflections on the Gospel given during these prayer meetings.
It is our hope and prayer that in the near future we will be able to own a place of our own to make the center of our Mission. We thank God for the blessings he has bestowed upon our Mission and pray that he will continue to help us in our growth as a faith filled community.
It is with great joy that we invite all our dear friends and families of Connecticut to join with us to share the faith and tradition of the St. Thomas Christians.
